Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Fremont seeking First Article Inspectors who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive first article inspections of manufactured components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and CAD models (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) to ensure accurate dimensional and feature verification.
• Utilize a wide range of precision measuring equipment, including CMM, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to validate part conformance.
• Document detailed inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions in inspection reports and quality management systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies and improve manufacturing processes based on inspection findings.
• Train and mentor production personnel on proper measurement techniques and quality standards.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment according to established procedures and schedules.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 3+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications (GD&T).
• Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 or equivalent standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with various measurement tools beyond CMM (e.g., optical comparators, micrometers, calipers).
• Familiarity with GD&T principles and application.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems.
