Field Service Technician | Fremont, MI

Salary Range: $50,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Fremont seeking Field Service Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in production machinery.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Document service activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, for record-keeping and analysis.
• Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards during all service operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, mechatronics, industrial maintenance) or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in field service, maintenance, or repair of industrial machinery or automation equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems for diagnostics and minor programming adjustments.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical personnel.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
