Lean Manufacturing Engineer | Fremont, MI
Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Design and implement optimized layouts, workflows, and standard work procedures.
- Develop and deliver training programs on Lean principles and tools to manufacturing personnel.
- Utilize data and statistical analysis to measure process performance and validate improvement results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive Lean transformation across the organization.
- Support the implementation and sustainment of visual management systems.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience implementing Lean methodologies (e.g., VSM, 5S, Kaizen) in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving tools and statistical analysis (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, SPC).
- Experience with process optimization, cycle time reduction, and waste elimination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for leading cross-functional teams and training.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
Bonus Qualifications
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim)
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, robotics)
- PMP certification or equivalent project management experience
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
