Salary Range: $59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Battle Creek that are seeking Fabrication Leads. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train fabrication team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Plan, schedule, and assign daily fabrication tasks to meet production deadlines and customer specifications.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fabrication equipment, including welders, plasma cutters, and press brakes.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to guide fabrication processes and material selection.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure fabricated parts meet design specifications and tolerances.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and consumables, coordinating with procurement to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize fabrication efficiency and reduce waste.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, including welding, cutting, and forming.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to supervise and mentor a team of skilled fabricators.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and fabrication processes.
• Proficient in operating various fabrication equipment, such as press brakes, shears, and welders (MIG, TIG, STICK).
• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and quality control standards.
