Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train fabrication team members, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Plan and coordinate daily fabrication activities, including material preparation, cutting, welding, and assembly.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide fabrication processes.
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment such as welders, grinders, saws, and presses.
• Perform quality checks and inspections on fabricated components to ensure dimensional accuracy and structural integrity.
• Manage material inventory for fabrication projects, ensuring availability and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and resolve technical issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Demonstrated expertise in various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and fabrication techniques (e.g., cutting, bending, forming).
• Strong understanding of quality control standards and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and motivate a team of skilled fabricators.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software for reviewing designs
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
• Certification in welding or other fabrication techniques
• Ability to train and mentor junior fabricators
• Experience with ERP systems for tracking production
