Incoming Inspection Technician | Ludington, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Ludington seeking Incoming Inspection Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials.
• Verify materials against purchase orders and specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately in the quality management system.
• Identify and tag non-conforming materials for further disposition.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain inspection tools and equipment in good working order.
• Adhere to established safety protocols and quality procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Proficient in using various measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges)
• Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with optical comparators, CMMs, or other advanced metrology equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T.
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, casting, injection molding).
• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.
