Maintenance Technician | Rockford, MI

Salary Range: $45,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Rockford that are seeking Maintenance Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems (up to 480V)
• Demonstrated ability in mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics
• Experience with PLCs and motor controls
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software
• Certification in a specialized trade (e.g., welding, HVAC, electrical)
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to operate a forklift or other heavy equipment
