Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Muskegon that are seeking skilled Advanced Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced quality control plans and inspection methodologies.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for complex quality issues.
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools for process improvement and defect reduction.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and inspectability of new products.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and application of Lean Six Sigma principles.
• Conduct supplier quality audits and work with suppliers to improve incoming material quality.
• Mentor and train junior quality engineers on advanced quality techniques and problem-solving methodologies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and industry standards.
• Proficiency in advanced quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, MSA, FMEA, 8D, PPAP).
• Demonstrated experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CSSBB) preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
• Experience with AS9100 or IATF 16949 quality management systems
• Strong data analysis skills, including Minitab or JMP proficiency
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
• Experience with advanced product quality planning (APQP)
