Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Coopersville that are seeking skilled Applications Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to define application requirements and specifications for manufacturing processes.
• Design, develop, and test software solutions for automated manufacturing equipment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications in production environments.
• Optimize application performance and reliability through continuous improvement and updates.
• Develop and deliver training to internal teams and customers on application usage and best practices.
• Conduct root cause analysis for application-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and maintenance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales, or field support, preferably within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial equipment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or other factory automation software.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC UA, EtherNet/IP).
• Knowledge of data acquisition systems and sensor integration.
• Experience with vision systems or robotics in a manufacturing context.
