Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded software for manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate embedded systems into new products.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing embedded systems in production environments.
• Implement and maintain communication protocols for industrial automation.
• Develop and execute test plans for embedded systems to ensure quality and reliability.
• Optimize firmware for performance, power consumption, and memory usage in manufacturing devices.
• Provide technical support and training for manufacturing teams on embedded systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for microcontroller programming and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
• Demonstrated ability in hardware-software integration and debugging for production systems.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) beyond basic implementations.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
• Demonstrated ability to work with and troubleshoot existing legacy systems.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for embedded systems.
• Experience with simulation and modeling tools for system design and verification.
