Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Designs and develops new products and product improvements.
• Creates detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conducts design reviews and implements feedback for optimal manufacturability.
• Collaborates with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and production efficiency.
• Performs stress analysis and simulations to validate design integrity.
• Troubleshoots and resolves design-related production issues.
• Selects appropriate materials and components based on performance and cost requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in product design within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, machining, sheet metal fabrication).
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical design solutions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software beyond basic modeling, such as advanced surfacing or generative design.
• Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for design validation.
• Demonstrated ability to apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation or data analysis in design.
• Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
