Salary Range: $122,000 - $171,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Ludington that are seeking skilled Controllers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, AP, AR, and cost accounting.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to achieve financial targets.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
• Provide strategic financial analysis and guidance to senior management to support business decision-making.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
• CPA certification highly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
• Proven experience with ERP systems implementation and optimization
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP implementation or major upgrade
• CPA license with experience in a multi-entity or international manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of developing and mentoring finance teams
• Experience with advanced analytics and business intelligence tools
• Lean/Six Sigma certification or strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
