Salary Range: $79,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Traverse City that are seeking skilled Controls Engineers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements control systems for manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with existing control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and robotics.
• Develops and maintains detailed documentation for control systems, including schematics, programming, and operational procedures.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and engineering, to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Selects, configures, and calibrates sensors, actuators, and other control system components.
• Implements and maintains industrial communication networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet).
• Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations in all control system designs and modifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, B&R) and HMI/SCADA development.
• Strong understanding of robotics, motion control, and vision systems.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, OPC UA).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and software issues.
