Salary Range: $117,000 - $166,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the East Lansing region seeking Engineering Managers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Oversee the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions for production challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Develop and manage the engineering department's budget and resource allocation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety regulations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Strong understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and their application in manufacturing.
• Proven track record of successful cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, and supply chain teams.
