Salary Range: $54,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Otsego that are seeking Estimators. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed cost estimates for manufacturing projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Analyzes blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Collaborates with engineering, production, and sales teams to gather necessary information for bid proposals.
• Identifies and quantifies cost factors such as production time, raw material, and labor expenses.
• Develops and maintains a database of cost information for various manufacturing processes and materials.
• Presents complex estimate data and justifications to internal stakeholders and external clients.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in estimating for a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to accurately interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and labor costs.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Familiarity with design software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Ability to speak a second language relevant to the company's supply chain or customer base.
