Salary Range: $57,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in DeWitt that are seeking skilled Estimators. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for manufacturing projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Solicit and review vendor quotes for materials and services.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate estimates.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities in cost estimates.
• Maintain and update cost databases and estimation tools.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3-5 years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Experience with ERP systems and specialized estimating software (e.g., SAP, Epicor, Infor, CostX).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for data extraction and analysis.
• Certification in a relevant field (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator - CPE, Project Management Professional - PMP).
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and their application in cost reduction.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (e.g., Power Query, VBA) for complex data modeling.
