Salary Range: $48,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Grand Rapids that are seeking CNC Machinists. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to produce precision parts.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code to determine machining operations.
• Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured parts using various measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, or part quality.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from CNC machinery.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience operating CNC machines (mills, lathes)
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and G-code
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles
• Ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Experience with tool offsets, setup, and troubleshooting

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance on machinery
• Experience with multi-axis machining (4-axis, 5-axis)
• Welding or fabrication experience
