Salary Range: $54,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines using CAD/CAM software.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices for various materials.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure collision avoidance and optimal machining processes.
• Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and operational instructions for machinists.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to optimize processes and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform post-processing of CAM data to generate machine-readable G-code.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of programming standards and manufacturing efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Experience with tooling selection, fixture design, and setup procedures.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills for optimizing machining processes and troubleshooting issues.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CNC mill programming in a manufacturing environment.
