Salary Range: $55,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines using CAM software.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
  • Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure collision avoidance and optimal tool paths.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing CNC programs to improve efficiency and part quality.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to refine part designs for manufacturability.
  • Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and tooling lists for machine operators.
  • Perform post-processing of CAM data to generate machine-specific G-code.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience programming 3-axis (or more) CNC mills.
  • Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM).
  • Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and GD&T.
  • Knowledge of various tooling, workholding, and material properties.
  • Experience with in-process inspection and quality control.
