Salary Range: $54,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Whitehall that are seeking skilled CNC Mill Programmers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis mills.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine parameters for optimal performance.
• Perform post-processing of CAM data to generate machine-readable G-code.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to optimize processes and troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct first-article inspections and make necessary program adjustments.
• Maintain and update existing CNC programs to reflect design changes or process improvements.
• Document programming procedures, tool lists, and setup sheets.
• Ensure programs adhere to safety standards and quality specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for 3-axis and multi-axis CNC mills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models (GD&T knowledge preferred).
• Experience with tool selection, fixture design, and process optimization for machining various materials.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in troubleshooting machining processes and improving part quality.
