Salary Range: $46,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code to determine machining operations.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tooling.
• Adjust machine settings and tool offsets to optimize performance and product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, or programming.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Experience with set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
• Ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Knowledge of various metal types and their machining properties.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks)
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance on CNC machinery
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment
• Certifications in machining or related fields (e.g., NIMS)
