Salary Range: $55,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and write CNC programs for lathe machines using CAM software and G-code.
- Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and part models to determine optimal machining processes.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and workholding devices for various materials and operations.
- Simulate and verify CNC programs to detect and correct errors before actual production.
- Optimize existing CNC programs for efficiency, reduced cycle times, and improved surface finish.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programming issues and implement solutions.
- Maintain and update a library of CNC programs and related documentation.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficient in G-code and M-code programming for 2-axis CNC lathes.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T, and CAD models.
- Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Esprit) for generating toolpaths.
- Strong understanding of tooling selection, insert grades, and cutting parameters for various materials.
- Knowledge of CNC machine operation, setup, and first-article inspection processes.
