Bookkeeper | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $49,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across East Lansing seeking Bookkeepers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collection efforts.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts monthly.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers for all transactions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Support inventory tracking and reconciliation processes.
• Prepare and submit sales tax returns.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience with general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
• Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
