Salary Range: $58,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts.
• Perform in-process inspections using various measuring tools to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
• Load raw materials into machines and unload finished products.
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical drawings.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms and perform basic maintenance.
• Adjust offsets and make program edits to optimize production and part quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience operating CNC Swiss-style lathes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
• Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators).
• Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and basic machine maintenance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., PartMaker, Esprit) for program generation and optimization.
• Experience with in-machine probing and tool presetting systems to reduce setup times.
• Demonstrated ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks and minor repairs on CNC Swiss machines.
• Familiarity with various exotic materials and their specific machining considerations.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
