Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist | Otsego, MI

Salary Range: $47,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices (PO and non-PO), matching to purchase orders and receiving documents for raw materials and MRO supplies.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely for manufactured goods and services.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal departments (e.g., purchasing, production).
• Apply customer payments, manage cash receipts, and conduct collections activities for overdue accounts.
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement to vendors.
• Perform month-end close activities related to AP and AR, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records in the ERP system and support audit requests for AP/AR documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and general ledger reconciliation.
• Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial record-keeping.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and internal teams.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Basic understanding of inventory accounting or cost accounting principles.
• Experience with multi-currency transactions and international vendors/customers.
• Familiarity with purchasing processes for raw materials and MRO supplies.
