Salary Range: $59,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and generate CNC programs (G-code) for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling machines using CAD/CAM software.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices based on material, part geometry, and machine capabilities.
- Create detailed setup sheets, tooling lists, and other essential manufacturing documentation.
- Optimize machining processes for efficiency, reduced cycle times, improved tool life, and surface finish.
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality assurance to troubleshoot and refine new and existing programs.
- Verify programs through simulation and first-article prove-out, making adjustments as necessary to ensure part quality and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain and update a library of programs and tooling data.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM) for 3-axis and multi-axis milling.
- Strong understanding and ability to write/edit G-code and M-code for CNC mills.
- Expertise in interpreting complex engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Demonstrated knowledge of tooling, workholding, and machining strategies for various materials.
- Practical experience in a manufacturing environment programming and setting up CNC mills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficiency with multiple CAM software platforms (e.g., Mastercam, Esprit, Hypermill).
- Experience in designing custom fixtures or tooling for CNC machining.
- Familiarity with CNC machine simulation software (e.g., Vericut, NCSIMUL).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with 5-axis programming or complex surface machining.
