Salary Range: $49,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements.
  • Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments and tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators, to verify conformance.
  • Accurately record and document inspection results, identifying and reporting any non-conformances in the designated quality system.
  • Isolate and tag non-conforming materials, initiating appropriate corrective action requests or material review board (MRB) processes.
  • Maintain calibration status and perform basic upkeep of inspection equipment and tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to resolve material quality issues.
  • Adhere to all company quality procedures, safety regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated skill in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Working knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies, including sampling plans.
  • Experience with documenting inspection results, non-conformance reports, and maintaining quality records.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify visual and dimensional defects.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with CMM programming or operation.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) or other quality methodologies.
  • Prior experience with ERP/MRP systems for material receiving and tracking.
  • ASQ certification (e.g., Certified Quality Technician).
