Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for all manufacturing and administrative employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and company policies.
  • Calculate and process wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and tax withholdals.
  • Maintain confidential employee payroll records and update changes to pay rates, benefits, and personal information.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax forms.
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including general ledger reconciliations and tax filings.
  • Coordinate with HR and departmental managers to ensure accurate timekeeping data for production staff.
  • Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2 generation and reconciliation.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience processing high-volume, multi-state payroll, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state wage and hour laws (e.g., FLSA) and payroll tax regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing timekeeping systems and calculating complex pay structures common in manufacturing (e.g., shift differentials, production incentives).
  • Proven ability to ensure payroll accuracy, reconcile accounts, and prepare detailed payroll reports.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience processing payroll for unionized workforces.
  • Proficiency with time and attendance systems (e.g., UKG/Kronos) common in manufacturing environments.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for complex data analysis, reporting, and auditing.
  • Familiarity with multi-state payroll processing.
