Salary Range: $55,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Otsego seeking Shipping & Receiving Leads who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage and train shipping and receiving team members, providing guidance and feedback.
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, documenting any discrepancies.
• Coordinate outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and carrier selection.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures within the shipping and receiving department.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Liaise with production, purchasing, and customer service departments to resolve shipping and receiving issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a shipping and receiving environment, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency in using shipping software and equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials, as needed.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse management system (WMS) implementation or advanced configuration
• Forklift certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant, specific equipment types)
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures
