Salary Range: $48,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Train and mentor shipping and receiving team members, providing guidance and support.
• Manage inventory levels within the shipping and receiving areas, conducting regular cycle counts.
• Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage and discrepancies, resolving any issues promptly.
• Ensure proper packaging and labeling of outgoing shipments to meet customer and carrier requirements.
• Maintain organized and safe working conditions in the shipping and receiving department.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting on shipments and inventory.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a shipping and receiving environment, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse best practices.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Proficient in using shipping software and equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with lean manufacturing principles and their application in warehouse operations.
• - Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
• - Basic understanding of inventory management software or ERP systems.
• - Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and shipping regulations.
