Shop Foreman | Spring Lake, MI

Salary Range: $70,000 - $104,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop floor operations and ensure production schedules are met.
• Manage, train, and mentor a team of production staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, enforcing safety regulations and procedures.
• Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and material shortages.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with procurement.
• Implement and improve shop floor processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering and management to discuss production capabilities and challenges.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of production workers to meet quality and production targets.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and address production issues promptly.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and operating manuals.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
• - Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• - Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques
• - OSHA 30-hour certification
• - Experience with automated manufacturing processes
