Process Engineer | Rockford, MI

Salary Range: $71,000 - $105,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve process-related issues and deviations.
• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes or modifications to existing ones.
• Monitor process performance, analyze data, and report on key metrics and trends.
• Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Ensure all processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2-5+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in process optimization, statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Experience with process simulation software and P&ID development.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with industry safety and quality standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO).

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Proficiency with advanced statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, R)
• Experience with ERP (e.g., SAP) or MES systems
• Familiarity with automation systems and PLC programming
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
