Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop innovative product designs and improvements using CAD software.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing processes.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods for optimal performance and cost.
• Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analysis.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and R&D teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including BOMs and specifications.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal) and material properties.
• Demonstrated experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
• Proven ability to prototype, test, and validate designs for production environments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with FEA/CFD simulation software.
• Demonstrated expertise in Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA).
• Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping or additive manufacturing technologies.
• Scripting or automation skills for CAD software (e.g., Python, VBA).
