Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select new suppliers for raw materials and components.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings.
• Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality or delivery.
• Collaborate with production planning to optimize inventory levels and material availability.
• Identify and implement strategies for supply chain efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical purchasing practices.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of direct purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement functions.
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, or Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• International sourcing experience, particularly with suppliers in low-cost regions.
