CNC Machinist | Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $49,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs.
• Perform in-process and final inspection of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to optimize performance and maintain quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, and part quality.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
• Load and unload materials and parts, ensuring proper fixturing and material handling.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Demonstrated knowledge of G-code and M-code programming and editing.
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure part quality.
• Experience with tool selection, offsets, and basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced CAM software proficiency (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)
• Experience with CMM operation or programming
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in CAD software for design interpretation or minor modifications
