Salary Range: $48,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment, including wire and/or sinker EDM machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations.
• Program EDM machines using CAD/CAM software or machine controls to achieve precise specifications.
• Monitor machining processes, adjusting parameters as necessary to ensure part quality and efficiency.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components using precision measuring instruments.
• Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of EDM machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate production records, logs, and quality control documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) for quality inspection.
• Solid understanding of EDM process parameters, tooling, and material properties.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience operating other CNC machinery (e.g., milling, turning).
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for interpreting designs or basic programming.
• Experience with CMM or other advanced metrology equipment.
• Basic electrical or mechanical troubleshooting skills for machine maintenance.
