Salary Range: $81,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Grand Haven seeking IATF Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the IATF 16949 Quality Management System to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new product launches and engineering changes.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (e.g., 8D) for quality non-conformances.
• Conduct internal audits and support customer and third-party IATF certification audits.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) plans for critical manufacturing processes.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and drive defect reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality requirements into product design, process development, and manufacturing operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge and practical application of IATF 16949 requirements.
• Proficiency in automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies (e.g., 8D).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control techniques.
• Experience conducting internal and supplier quality audits.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab)
• Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems
• Demonstrated experience in supplier quality development programs
• Formal training or experience in advanced metrology techniques (e.g., CMM programming, GD&T expertise)
