Salary Range: $88,000 - $129,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for new product introductions.
  • Drive root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, 5 Why) and implement effective corrective and preventive actions for complex quality issues.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other quality control methodologies to ensure process capability and stability.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineering to integrate quality requirements into product design and manufacturing processes (DFM/DFA).
  • Conduct internal and external quality system audits (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001) to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and provide insights to management for strategic quality planning and risk mitigation.
  • Manage supplier quality performance, including audits, corrective actions, and new supplier qualification.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Expert-level knowledge and practical application of core quality tools (e.g., FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA).
  • Proven experience with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex root cause analysis, implement effective corrective actions, and drive problem resolution.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) for process control and data-driven decision making.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification.
  • Proficiency with advanced statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python) for complex data analysis and predictive modeling.
  • Experience with AI/Machine Learning applications for quality improvement or predictive quality.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience leading cross-functional quality initiatives.
