Salary Range: $53,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Plainwell seeking Shipping & Receiving Leads who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Train, mentor, and supervise shipping and receiving team members, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Coordinate with production, inventory, and logistics departments to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by verifying incoming shipments, documenting discrepancies, and performing regular cycle counts.
• Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and documentation of outgoing shipments according to company standards and carrier requirements.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage or defects, initiating claims and coordinating returns as necessary.
• Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring safety compliance.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and best practices within the shipping and receiving department.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a shipping and receiving environment, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and shipping software.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and best practices.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
• - Forklift certification and experience operating various types of industrial equipment
• - Proficiency in using handheld scanners and inventory management software
• - Basic understanding of customs regulations and international shipping documentation
