Salary Range: $48,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards.
• Set up and operate various welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welders.
• Inspect and test welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
• Prepare materials and components for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and fitting.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Record production data, including weld parameters, material used, and quality control results.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to identify and implement process improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certified Welding qualifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, or equivalent).
• Experience with various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Cored).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in performing quality inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
• Understanding of safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with robotic welding systems
• - Certified welding inspector (CWI) or equivalent certification
• - Knowledge of various welding metallurgy and material properties
• - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• - Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints
