Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and document robust laser welding processes and parameters.
- Design, procure, and qualify laser welding fixtures and tooling.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on laser welding equipment and systems.
- Conduct weld quality analysis, root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design and NPI teams for new product laser weld integration.
- Train production personnel on proper laser welding techniques and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards for laser operations.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting laser welding processes (e.g., fiber, YAG, CO2 lasers) in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, material science, and their impact on laser weld quality and integrity for various alloys.
- Proficiency in operating, programming, and maintaining industrial laser welding systems and associated automation (e.g., robotics, vision systems).
- Experience with weld quality inspection techniques (NDT, destructive testing, metallography) and root cause analysis for weld defects.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with robotic programming (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) for automated welding systems.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for fixture design and weld path generation.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
- Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods for weld inspection.
