Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize product designs using CAD software for manufacturing processes.
• Conduct design analysis, simulations, and calculations to validate product performance and manufacturability.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs) for production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure designs are feasible and efficient.
• Prototype new designs, oversee testing, and incorporate feedback for iterative improvements.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods to meet design requirements and cost targets.
• Perform root cause analysis for design-related issues and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor) for 3D modeling, assembly, and detailed drafting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, stamping, additive manufacturing) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Knowledge of materials science, selection, and properties for various industrial applications.
• Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to design, analyze, and optimize mechanical components and systems.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and creating precise technical drawings.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Additive Manufacturing (AM) processes and design for AM principles.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in advanced simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) for complex analysis.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, or fabrication of mechanical components.
