Quality Supervisor | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $67,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train quality control personnel on inspection techniques and quality standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality management systems (e.g., ISO, IATF) and customer specifications.
• Oversee all inspection activities, including incoming materials, in-process production, and final product release.
• Lead investigations into quality non-conformances, implementing root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor key quality performance indicators, analyze data, and generate reports for management review.
• Participate in and support internal and external quality audits.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance/control, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity within a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field
• In-depth knowledge and practical application of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, GMP)
• Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D)
• Demonstrated strong leadership, team development, and communication skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or lead auditor certification for relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100).
• Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data analysis and SPC.
• Experience with advanced problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Ishikawa).
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional quality improvement projects.
