Production Manager | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $86,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations to meet output targets and quality standards.
• Develop and implement production schedules to optimize resource utilization and on-time delivery.
• Manage and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to resolve production issues and optimize processes.
• Manage departmental budget, controlling costs and identifying opportunities for savings.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen).
• Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for production planning and control.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop production supervisors and team leads.
• Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce.
• Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or a similar professional credential.
