Salary Range: $55,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Caledonia that are seeking skilled Staff Accountants. Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and inventory.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close processes.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and variances, providing insights to management.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems)
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system beyond basic data entry (e.g., system configuration, report building).
• Exposure to cost accounting principles or inventory valuation methods (e.g., LIFO, FIFO, standard costing).
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for financial reporting.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives.
