Salary Range: $54,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with multiple companies in Traverse City seeking experienced Shipping & Receiving Leads. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead and train a team of shipping and receiving personnel.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with carriers and internal departments.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality standards in the warehouse.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies and issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership experience, including training and supervising a small team.
• Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems and barcode scanning technology.
• Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain processes, and safety regulations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management and transaction processing.
• Forklift certification and experience operating various material handling equipment.
• Proven ability to train and mentor junior shipping/receiving personnel.
• Familiarity with hazardous material handling and shipping regulations (e.g., DOT, IATA).
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) in a warehouse or logistics setting.
