Shop Manager | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $87,000 - $133,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in East Lansing that are seeking Shop Managers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production schedules and resource allocation.
• Implement and enforce safety regulations and quality control standards.
• Manage and mentor shop floor personnel, including performance reviews and training.
• Optimize workflow processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair schedules.
• Monitor production metrics and prepare performance reports.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing shop environment
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of skilled technicians
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining and welding
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards
