Salary Range: $49,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Norton Shores region seeking Shipping & Receiving Leads. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Supervise and train shipping and receiving personnel, promoting safety and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies in the ERP system.
• Operate and maintain material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to shipping, receiving, and warehousing.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to optimize material flow.
• Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
• Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems and barcode scanning technology.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for inventory management and transaction processing.
• Forklift operator certification with experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience, particularly related to warehouse optimization and process improvement.
• Hazardous materials handling certification (e.g., DOT, IATA, IMDG) for shipping and receiving regulated goods.
