Salary Range: $44,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality checks.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action procedures as required.
• Perform first-article inspections and in-process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and production specifications.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine quality requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schecharts, and technical documents
• Familiarity with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles
• Ability to perform visual inspections and identify defects

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification
• Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation and programming
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
• Ability to read and interpret complex GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Proficiency in using statistical software for data analysis
