Quality Technician | Walker, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Performs in-process and final inspections of manufactured products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality systems.
• Conducts various tests on materials and finished goods, utilizing precision measuring instruments and test equipment.
• Identifies and quarantines non-conforming materials and products, initiating corrective action requests as needed.
• Assists in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and supports the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Calibrates and maintains inspection and test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborates with production personnel to address quality concerns and promote a culture of quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Participates in internal and external audits to ensure adherence to quality management systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in using various inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
